FIONA BROWN
Fiona has an extensive background in the housing sector, with over 35 years experience covering housing management, housing development and strategy and policy. She has worked within housing associations and local government and, more recently, as an CIH accredited community-led housing advisor.
Since 2020, she has worked for the Thames Valley Collaborative Housing Hub, supporting local groups seeking to deliver community-led housing by helping them establish a vision and business plan, incorporate and set up appropriate governance structures, and to find land and funding opportunities. She has provided project management support to bring projects forward for planning consent and beyond, working with partner housing associations as development agents and/or property managers.
Fiona has also contributed to research projects for local authorities and developers on how to better enable community-led approaches to development and wider stewardship of assets. She is a skilled communicator and has offered training and workshops for a variety of audiences.
Fiona serves as vice chair for the Hook Norton Community Land Trust in a voluntary role.
