RUSSELL HARTWELL
Russell is Managing Director of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust’s Ecological Consultancy, Future Nature WTC. Russell has experience and expertise in creating, delivering and maintaining habitats to enhance biodiversity, and green spaces that reconnect people with nature. For the previous fourteen years, Russell worked in Green Infrastructure, helping to create sustainable habitats through urban greening initiatives including green roofs, living walls, rain gardens and street trees, and through wildlife gardening, with a keen interest in mosaic design using structure, topography and recycled materials.
An award-winning wildlife photographer, lifelong BBOWT member and volunteer, he has spent many hours in all seasons on the Trust’s nature reserves and believes passionately in both hands-on field work and the wider strategy for Nature’s Recovery. Future Nature reinvests all of its profits back into BBOWT, to support the Trust’s invaluable work in education, countryside and communities.
